ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Safer, Smarter Kids is a child abuse prevention education curriculum designed to empower elementary school-aged children to develop skills to stay safe as their world expands. Children are armed with protective principles and vocabulary to express their feelings and talk to a trusted adult.

MBF Child Safety Matters® is a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum for elementary school students in grades K-5. The program educates and empowers children and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, all types of abuse, and digital abuse dangers. It is presented in two comprehensive 60-minute lessons by trained facilitators in classrooms or virtually. *Given the amount of information covered in each session, we find that four 30-minute lessons are easier for students to process.

The Second Step Bullying Prevention Unit teaches K-5th grade students how to:

Recognize bullying when it happens to them or their peers.

Report bullying to caring adults.

Refuse bullying by learning how to be assertive and stand up for each other.

Be bystanders who are part of the solution and not part of the problem.

The Second Stepchild Protection Unit teaches PreK-5th grade students:  Personal safety, Touching Safety, and Assertiveness

Internet Safety/Digital Citizenship programming empowers students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibility in our digital world.

Paperbacks with Prevention utilizes curated books for K-5th grade to address topics such as boundaries, bullying, peer pressure, tattling vs reporting, and friendship.
